I'm almost there.
“Thus the heavens and the earth were completed in all their vast array. By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work.”
- Genesis 2:1-2 (New International Version)
I finally nailed down my dream coaching program offer recently (I talk about the journey to it in last week’s email) and now, with less than 5 months left in the year, the reality of the work I still have left to do between now and launching it is starting to sink in. Not just because I wanted to be further along by Q4 of this year, but mainly because I was on track to hit my Q3 goals until God presented me with this pivot opportunity.
I had a WHOLE different coaching program already built, launched and first cohort completed. And that was after months of planning, researching, trial & error. Now I feel like I’m a whole quarter behind and, while I’m thankful for the chance to do something I truly want to do, man was I excited to finally be out of “creation” mode and into “maintain and grow” mode.
But here I am; back at the drawing board AGAIN and I’s tied. Have you ever felt like this? Like, just exhausted with creating? Maybe God seems to keep expanding your original idea everyday and it just feels like you’re constantly building and rebuilding all over again? If so, I wanted to share how God comforted me. It's simple, but He basically told me how building the foundation can be the hardest part of the process, but there is an end date to it and once it’s done, it’s done.
You just have to finish the work.
The same way God finally was able to rest after 6 days of creating and then appoint someone to tend to what He’d created (Genesis 2:15), so will you. The vision God is working out through your business is major, which means there’s a lot of foundation work that has to be done before it can function at its full potential. I know it may seem like the things He’s having you do and redo, start and restart, are either pointless, mundane or just plain time-consuming, but be encouraged that they are the building blocks to something phenomenal that you can’t even fully grasp yet.
I didn’t realize that my old coaching program modules would eventually form the framework for my dream program. And I never would have had I not finished the work required for the old one. The sooner you complete your tasks at this level, the sooner God can unlock the dopeness in the next. But He’s not going to bless an unfinished work. He loves you and the people you’re called to impact too much to let you build on a shaky foundation.
So be encouraged. Your six & seven figures, streamlined systems, dream impact, collaborations and team are coming. And the only thing standing between you and your next level -- besides believing you can do it -- is a series of executions. Boxes being checked off a list. Dassit. You’re almost there boo. Keep going. Complete the creation.
