Come up for air.

“For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.”

- Romans 8:19 (New King James Version)

In the midst of the terror, division & confusion that has ensued since George Floyd's murder, it has never been more evident to me than now that we are in the middle of a spiritual battle and that we, as God's people, need to recognize that. This is not a war against anyone or anything that we can see; the people performing these atrocities against black people are inspired and controlled by darkness. Period.

But guess what? That's good news because we, the children of God, have POWER over darkness.

I have so much more to say (and to learn) about how we can take impactful, ongoing, strategic action against it but I’m continuing to educate myself and pray for God’s clarity and direction FIRST, so that I am acting out of faith and divine assignment.

In the meantime, I just want to remind you of who you are today:

That even though you're tired, you serve a who God gives strength to the weary (Isaiah 40:29).

That you are seated in heavenly places with Christ (Ephesians 2:6), far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named (Ephesians 1:21).

And that He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).

This message is meant to help you come back up for air and remember your place in Christ. You are not defeated, you are victorious. Don’t let the media and all the noise keep you down. That’s what the enemy wants. Take back your peace by letting God minister to your heart as much as possible during this time. That’s how you’ll be able to fight from the position of authority God has given you. And that’s what this world needs most right now.
